My name is Nick, I’m a software engineer from Melbourne, Australia. I have been programming since I was eight years of age, and am for the most part, self-taught. I love building things with computers, whether they be small experiments or complex systems, and I’m excited to share that here. In addition, I also like occasionally talking about the transport infrastructure of the city in which I live. Yeah, I’m a nerd.
I’ve contributed to a few moderate-sized open-source projects before, such as;
- Home Assistant–implementing integrations for a few miscellaneous IoT devices.
- Open Live Writer–(briefly) fixing Blogger integration, adding static site blogging support
- SerenityOS–adding a wizard framework to LibGUI, implementing a New Project dialog for the HackStudio IDE.
My qualifications currently include;
- A Certificate IV in Information Technology from Swinburne University of Technology, graduated 2018.
- A Diploma of Software Development from Swinburne University of Technology, graduated 2019.
I hope you find something interesting here! If you’d like to get in touch with me, you can email me at nick [at-symbol] nxk [dot] io.
